The A Line, which opened on April 22, 2016, whisks travelers to the heart of downtown, specifically Denver Union Station, which is the city's transportation hub and "living room," thanks to its plush surroundings.

Don't worry about buying a ticket – just hop on board!Īt a cost of $10.50 each way (but free during July and August 2023), travelers can use the A Line to get from the airport to downtown Denver and vice versa, courtesy of the Regional Transportation District (RTD), metro Denver's public transit provider. It’s part of the state’s Zero Fare for Better Air initiative to reduce ground-level ozone during the peak time of year.

Get around the Denver area for free on the Regional Transportation District’s (RTD's) buses, light rail and airport train during July and August 2023.
